I am a teacher with over 30 years experience and fully DBS checked.

I currently teach mindfulness to children using The Present or Paws b curriculums through schools, along with general wellbeing and breathwork. My approach and delivery differs depending on the children and their circumstances and needs, for example anxieties, stress, focus/ attentional difficulties and ADHD.

They are fun and informative sessions, learning about the brain, how we notice feelings and emotions, how we can make choices to look after ourselves. We learn about why we feel stressed and have worries, and how we can deal with these when they arise.

I run individual, small group and class sessions. These can run alongside or after therapy sessions, after consultation with the therapist.

Please contact me for more information on the suitability for your child and how to access to these sessions.

Children and Adolescents

Students today face various modern challenges, including digital distractions that make focusing harder. They also deal with exam stress, competition, and anxiety about future opportunities. Mindfulness offers numerous benefits for students grappling with these issues.

Mindfulness can help manage stress, enhance cognitive flexibility, develop social and emotional intelligence, and address perfectionism-related struggles, which can lead to self-criticism, self-doubt, and fear of failure.

I teach tailored curriculums of The Present, Finding Peace In a Frantic World, MBCT-L and Mindfulness for ADHD to students seeking support through mindfulness skills and techniques. These can be combined with general wellbeing and Breathwork.

The sessions are kept relevant to the needs of students, learning about the brain and the neuroscience behind feelings, behaviours, emotions and physical reactions. We learn how we can train ourselves to notice what is happening in the moment to inform our choices and to look after ourselves better. We learn about how manage overwhelm and take care of ourselves, while reaching our goals. We discover how the brain generates worries, and how we can deal with these when they arise.

I run individual, small group and class sessions through schools and colleges, online and, in some circumstances, in-person, in your own home.

These can also run alongside or after therapy sessions, after consultation with the therapist.
